Carol Ralph is a wonderful singer with an engaging stage presence and personality. She is very much in demand for gospel-based performances at festivals, jazz concerts and special church services throughout Australia. She simply loves singing.
Her blues style of singing has been inspired by both the great traditional blues singers of the 1920s such as Bessie Smith and Ida Cox. She enrolled as pupil of the Australian blues singer Kate Dunbar in the late 80s after visiting New Orleans and deciding on a career as a blues and gospel singer. But she is equally at home in more mainstream settings and enjoys different styles of music
Originally from Newcastle, she is based on the Central coast of NSW and has worked with many of Sydney’s top bands, led by well known leaders such as Bob Barnard, Geoff Bull and Brett Iggulden.
Carol can be seen at the Noosa Jazz Party - Bicentennial Hall and an exclusvie New Orleans River Cruise
