Lance Strauss (A.K.A. Elton Jack) was born in California and moved to Australia when he was seventeen. Since then, his fifteen year career has encompassed every part of the entertainment industry. As a singer and actor, he has appeared in a number of hit musicals including Annie, Evita and Barnum in which he was understudy to Reg Livermore. Most recently he was an original member of the cast of Les Miserables, as well as standby to Normie Rowe, and played the role of Jean Valjean many times to great acclaim. As a singer and musician, Lance has been involved in a number of bands playing covers to originals and back again. In 1986, an opportunity to actually play Elton John proved to be the turning point. The Show was Lennon, a short lived musical about the famous ex-Beatle. Knowing all along he bore a striking resemblance to Elton, and seeing the reaction he got every night to his portrayal, Lance figured if the people like it why not give it to them.

Lance Strauss` Elton Jack is an uncanny impersonation of the great showman we all know and love, and with his background in musical theatre and his love of rock`n`roll, Lance Strauss is Elton Jack! Of that there is no doubt. Here is something so close to the real thing that it denies description... Seeing is believing! Presently backed by a six piece band featuring on drums the ever youthful Trevor White, on sax/keyboards the multitalented Greg Parke, Mike Wade on guitar, Christopher Soulos on bass, Greg Bushell on percussion and introducing a hot new singer Louise Antonas...
