Leading the band, and one of Australia’s foremost exponents of Acid Jazz and Urban Groove, Saxophonist Rick Robertson has a wealth of experience and success being one of the founding members of D.I.G and Eon. He has played all over the world at major festivals and funky clubs from New York, London and Berlin to Hong Kong, Melbourne and Auckland.He has won Mo awards and Apra awrds with the band dig and many accolades for his work with Eon.
Paul Searles is one of the finest and most innovative Keyboard players in the Sydney scene. Well known for his work with Skunkhour Paul now works with Jenny Morris and does a lot of production work for film and TV. DJ Jeremy Kirschner is a serious contender for the Hippest DJ in town award. His additions to the live sound, accapellas, raps or sound effects are tasty and on the mark. His original beats are tasteful and he is adept at keeping the room alive.
Eon Trio was formed to play the Sydney club scene and was immediately in demand with a residency at the Coogee Beach Palace, a string of album launches and finished off 2007 right at the centre of things with NYE at the Opera Bar, Circular Quay. Parties and funky weddings kept the band in party mode and with regular Thursdays at the Opera Bar and the Loft the sound has really developed into something unique. Eon Trio has launched many products including Lenovo computers, Blackberry handheld, Sony Erricsonn and kept lots of corporate do's a hip and happening thing.
