Often seen leading Australia's hottest big band or creating hi-jinks with his brother James Morrison, jazz drummer and personality John Morrison now presents an exciting new jazz line up featuring the rising stars of the Australian music industry. What else does one need to say about the Morrison family and Jazz. For 25 years they have presented jazz of the highest caliber and always given audiences the music they just keep coming back for.
Here's what John has to say about the all new "All Stars" line up. "I am very excited about this new group. Swing City has been a phenomenal success and together with The Australian Jazz Agency, I wanted to present some of the stars from within the big band in a more intimate setting. Elizabeth Carthew and Neilsen Gough were my first choices for their pure musical excellence and presentation. Accompanied by the incredible talents of Mr Bill Risby on piano and my "forever" favorite bass player, Natalie, this is an all star cast. I know you will enjoy this exciting and highly polished group. They are Australia's finest!"
Elizabeth Carthew - Vocals, Trumpet, Flugel Horn, Piano
Neilsen Gough - Vocals, Trumpet
Adrian Cunningham: Saxophone, Clarinet

Few musicians are blessed with talents like Elizabeth Carthew. Not only does she excel on the piano, Liz is also a very talented trumpet and flugelhorn player, and is gifted with a beautiful voice which is featured in many line-ups including Swing City. Teaming flawless glamour with sophistication and style, Elizabeth Carthew is the ultimate choice for the fussiest of music lovers, yet always entertaining.
Neilsen Gough is fast becoming Australia's premier vocal talent. His smooth velvet tone is creating excitement wherever he performs the classic standard which people love to hear, music that makes you want to dance the night away. Neilson specializes in songs that were made famous by such artists as Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick Jnr, Louis Armstrong, Dean Martin, Chet Baker and Burt Bacharach.
"Unspoken" is the first album by this unique and talented artist and is already receiving critical acclaim from industry reviewers and musicians alike. Since the age of sixteen Adrian has been performing professionally on clarinet, saxophones, flute and piano, and has been a featured soloist for such notable artists as James Morrison, Don Burrows, Monica Trapaga, Emma Pask, Galapagos Duck and John Morrison's Swing City. Adrian has performed in New York, Japan, Indonesia, Africa and has studied extensively with internationally renowned clarinetist & recording artist Eddie Daniels. "Unspoken was inspired by those powerful moments in life that are beyond words, moments of intense happiness or tragedy. Communications beyond words; unspoken. Enjoy!" - Adrian Cunningham
"Through his beautifully played clarinet and tenor, Adrian tells us exactly what he has to say; and it's certainly worth hearing, believe me!" - Don Burrows AO MBE
"This new and emerging young jazz artist has a refreshing sound and style all his own - beautiful"
