From the CD "Taylor Made Jazz"

Mark Taylor is one of Australia's leading saxophone talents. In high demand as a soloist and freelance musician across the broad spectrum of the Australian music industry, Mark has performed and recorded in Australia and Internationally with many leading entertainers, and is noted for his work internationally in the jazz and pop music fields as a featured soloist with such stars as James Morrison, Cliff Richard, Lou Rawls, Olivia Newton-John, Barry White, Neil Sedaka, Tom Burlinson, Doug Parkinson and more.

In 1990, Mark formed one of Sydney’s very popular jazz groups - TAYLOR MADE JAZZ.

Taylor Made Jazz boasts some of Sydney's leading jazz instrumental performers in groups that range from duo, right up to eight piece outfits. For most performances, the group perform as a trio comprising sax (doubling flute), guitar and double bass. A blend of traditional and more contemporary jazz and bebop standards, combined with popular ballads and classic Brazilian Bossa Novas form the basis of the Trio’s performance.

Taylor Made Jazz perform regularly at various corporate functions, private parties, and at jazz clubs and festivals, where often the group expands to become a quartet or quintet with the addition of drums, piano and/or vocals to suit.

In 1998, Mark Taylor released his debut CD as leader, “Shakedown” (Rufus/Universal). On this recording he joins forces with the Australian Jazz heavyweights Scott Tinkler (trumpet), Adam Armstrong (bass), Alister Spence (piano), Jeremy Sawkins (guitar) and Toby Hall (drums), performing nine original compositions that explore a wide variety of feels and moods, and capturing the essence and depth of Mark's broad musical experiences.
