Neilsen Gough is fast becoming Australia's premier vocal talent. His smooth velvet tone is creating excitement everywhere he performs. Neilsen is also well known for his passionate and lyrical trumpet playing.

Neilsen Gough and the Swingin' 7 is Neilsen's lifelong musical dream come to fruition. Led by Musical Director, Julian Gough (of Monica and the Moochers fame), Neilsen Gough and the Swingin' 7 showcases 50's groovy lounge at it's finest - from classic Sinatra to beatnik boogaloo to Cuban rhumbas and mambos - all designed to make you want to dance the night away. Neilsen's band comprises of a rhythm section ( piano, bass and drums), and four horns, with Neilsen singing and solo trumpet. All arrangements are original and within the 50's idiom.

Neilsen completed an associate Diploma in Jazz studies at the NSW Conservatorium of Music in 1989 under the guidance of the ' Father of Australian jazz', Don Burrows. Neilsen performs with legends such as James Morrison, Don Burrows, Dale Barlow, Paul Grabowsky, Tommy Tycho. With the Swing City Big Band, Monica Trapaga, Ignatious Jones. Neilsen received a personal letter of thanks from the American Consulate General for performing the Australian National Anthem and other featured songs at Australia's only memorial service for the September 11 tragedy in New York.

Neilsen sang the British national Anthem for both the fifth test of the Ashes cricket series and the final of the One Day series. Neilsen performs regularly for corporate clients 'Stadium Australia' ; State of Origin games; Bledisloe Cup; NRL Grand Final, etc. Other corporate clients include BMW, Aramis, Country Road, AJC Convention Centre, Victor Chang Heart Research Charity Ball, Spring Racing Carnival, and many more. Neilsen also performs at the Sydney Opera House, The Entertainment Centre, The Basement, Sydney Town Hall, The Domain, at festivals, venues, and 5 star hotels in Australia and overseas in New York, Japan, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Jakarta, and China.
