All of You
Night and Day
Everyone's Crying Mercy

Bonnie Jensen has established herself as a respected singer, pianist, and songwriter who has developed her talents through prestigious long-term residencies into a career of professional engagements worldwide.

Soulful interpretations of jazz standards, poetic original compositions, clever twists on contemporary pop numbers and a voice that moves from silky smooth and warm to edgy raw dynamics, are elements that combine to make Bonnie J Jensen an intriguing performer.

Bonnie’s talent as a pianist, and her depth of creativity and devotion to perfecting her skills as a vocalist and composer, enables her to attract some of Australia’s finest musicians for both live performances and recordings.

Her four CDs feature a ‘who’s who’ of the jazz scene, including James Morrison, James Muller, Graham Jesse, Alister Spence, Miroslav Bukovsky, Nicholas McBride and Phil Stack.

Steve Robertson of PBSFM says of Bonnie’s CD “Shimmer”, “This is the most recent and intimate of Bonnie’s four releases with the contemporary feel just hinted at in her excellent earlier CDs.  An artist who clearly has a vision for her craft and knows where she is going.”

All About Jazz reviewer Shane Nichols, describes Bonnie as “An experienced singer who combines innocence and sexy womanliness somewhere in the timbre of her voice”, moving easily through swing, latin-influenced jazz and satisfying funky moves.

Sydney based and New Zealander by birth, Bonnie’s elegant artistry reflects an extensive international existence.  Classically trained with choral and orchestral experience, she discovered jazz through the sounds of Brazilian legend Antonio Carlos Jobim while living in Europe and it’s this foundation that continues to inform her performances and song-writing.

Appearances in Sweden, Singapore, Spain, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Japan make Bonnie a well travelled international artist, with her most recent foray overseas to Mongolia and Japan. She also featured recently at the Manly, Thredbo and Noosa Jazz Festivals.

Currently, Bonnie is usually heard in Quartet context, but apart from performing solo as a pianist/vocalist, Bonnie offers an assortment of ensembles, including Piano/Vocal with Cello, Guitar and Vocal, Piano/Vocal with Bass and Trio to Septet line-ups that showcase the cream of Australian jazz talent.
